Needles and Record Cleaners
Rexonola Steel Needles & Tins:
Loud Tone and Unknown Tone steel needle tins. The tins were made in England (probably the needles too). One such tin sold on eBay recently for about $50US... Note the differing colour shades...

Dealers sold customised velvet pads, like one below from major Adelaide dealer A.W. Dobbie & Co. The pads were manufactured by A.E. Patrick, Wilson St, Newtown, Sydney. Today they generally sell for between $60 to $120 Australian. As you'll note from the photos, variants include yellowish versus beige with blue writing in the central medallion and blue versus green velvet backing. The pads look as if they have a balding problem--unfortunately the pics make it look a lot worse than life...they are actually attractive good collectibles
