Acoustic Era Rexoports

The first ‘Rexoports’ available were the ‘pre-electrical’ acoustic era models of the late teens and early 1920s. Instead of the more common portable case consisting of black leatherette over cheap timbers, these machines were made with beautiful polished oak cases. Fittings such as speed controllers and brakes were generally the same as used on cabinet models. The scanned page below from a ‘Rexonola Catalogue’ describes the machines well. Two variants are shown below...note different sound boxes (Standard versus Aluminium) and positioning of brake, latch types, etc...
